We are proud to host the XVI International Training Summer School, titled: “Survey for Planning: New Technologies and Land Protection – Architecture of Worship: the FUTURE has an ANCIENT HEART”, between July 23–25, 2025, at University of Life Sciences “King Mihai I” from Timișoara, Faculty of Agriculture

This prestigious event is organized by the Comitato Internazionale Fotogrammetria Architettonica – COIFA (International Committee for Architectural Photogrammetry), in collaboration with multiple institutions from Italy and Romania. The summer school will take place from July 14–25, across various cities in both countries.

The only international summer school of its kind in Romania, the program is itinerant, with participants engaging in academic and practical activities in: Bari, Matera, Latina, Venice, Gorizia (European Capital of Culture 2025), and Trieste Then, starting July 23th, the agenda continues in Timișoara, hosted by our university.

In Timișoara, participants will take part in lectures, fieldwork, documentation sessions, and cultural events.

The Summer School will focus on cutting-edge technologies in the field of architectural photogrammetry, including: BIM (Building Information Modeling) 3D Laser Scanning UAV Technologies (Drones) Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) General Topography Stereophotogrammetry Thermography Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Architectural photogrammetry is a specialized field of topography dedicated to determining the shape and dimensions of objects using photographs — blending science, heritage, and innovation.
